Lunation Forge privacy policy

This policy applies to Lunation Forge, a watch face for Wear OS watches distributed on Google Play. Lunation Forge is developed by Northglance, a business name of 1000577668 Ontario Incorporated.

Summary

Lunation Forge does not collect personal data, and it does not share anything with anyone. It is a watch face made only of images, fonts and a layout file: it contains no code of its own, asks for no permissions and has no internet access. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.

What the face shows, and where it comes from

Time, date and the Moon. Your watch works out the time, the date and the day of the lunar cycle, and draws the matching Moon image that ships inside the face.
Complications. The eight complication slots show information from the providers you choose in your watch’s face editor. Out of the box these are your watch’s own steps, weather or world time, battery, next calendar event, unread notification count, heart rate, and sunrise and sunset, plus the compass heading from Azivane if you have installed it. Wear OS hands each value to the face only so it can be drawn on your screen. The face cannot read, keep or send these values, and each provider handles its own data under its own privacy policy.
Messages shortcut. In the Full dial style, tapping the centre dial opens your watch’s messaging app. The face never sees your messages.

Lunation Forge asks for no Android permissions: no location, no sensors, no notifications, no storage and no internet.

What is stored, and where

Your choices for the face, its style and the complication in each slot, are kept by Wear OS on your watch, like the settings of any watch face. Lunation Forge stores nothing else.
Your watch, or its companion app on your phone, may include your watch face choices in its own backups, under its maker’s terms. We never receive them.

What leaves your watch

Nothing that Lunation Forge shows or stores is sent to us or to anyone else. It has no code and no internet access, so it cannot send anything.

Your choices and deleting your data

You can change the style and every complication at any time in your watch’s face editor, or switch to another watch face.
Uninstalling Lunation Forge removes it and its settings from your watch. We hold no copy anywhere, so there is nothing else to delete.

Third parties

Lunation Forge does not send your data to any server of its own or to any other company. It contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting code. Google Play handles the download and purchase of the face under Google’s own privacy policy. The apps that provide complications, including your watch’s own apps and Azivane, handle their own data under their own privacy policies.

Children

Lunation Forge is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes to this policy

We will post any change on this page and update the effective date.
