Lunation Forge
Forged titanium and red: a Wear OS watch face with time drums, a seconds ring and the Moon in a window.
US$1.99 one-time purchase (local prices vary).
Features
What it does.
Lunation Forge shows the hour on a drum and the minutes on a rolling drum, with a seconds ring and the Moon for each day of the lunar cycle in a window. The seconds ring is numbered 00 to 55 around the dial, and a MOON DAY tag counts the days of the cycle. Eight complication slots, one of them a compass capsule for Azivane, our free compass app, and no data collected. Part of the Lunation collection, with Lunation Field.
Drums and a seconds ring
The hour on a drum and the minutes on a rolling drum, side by side in one window, read on a red index line. Around the dial, a seconds ring numbered 00 to 55 shows the coming numbers in white, the current one in red and the passed ones cooled to grey.
The Moon in a window
Each day of the lunar cycle has its own NASA image of the Moon, shown in a window with a red MOON DAY tag. The Full dial style sets it behind smoked glass across the dial, inside the seconds ring.
Eight complications, compass included
Out of the box: steps, weather or world time, battery, your next event, unread notifications, heart rate, sunrise and sunset, and a compass capsule with the heading from Azivane, our free compass app, live while its notifications are allowed.
Always-on, no data
A dimmed always-on view keeps the time and complications on screen. The face has no code, asks for no permissions and collects nothing.

Lunation Forge privacy policyWhat the app accesses and why, in plain wordsWhere do the Moon images come from?
From NASA’s Scientific Visualization Studio (visualization 5587): renderings of the Moon made from Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter data. The face shows the image for the current day of the lunar cycle. NASA does not endorse this watch face.
How do I get the live compass?
Install Azivane, our free compass app for Wear OS, and allow its notifications when it asks, so the heading stays live. If the capsule still shows your time zone, press and hold the face, open its settings, select the compass slot and choose Azivane’s Compass heading. Without Azivane, the capsule shows your time zone (and AM/PM on 12-hour time).
Which watches does it work on?
Round watches with Wear OS 5 or newer. The top-right complication starts on weather or world time, depending on your watch; you can switch it to any weather complication your watch offers, like every other slot.
Is Lunation Field included?
No. Lunation Forge and Lunation Field are two separate watch faces in the Lunation collection, each with its own Google Play page.
Does the face collect any data?
No. It is made only of images, fonts and a layout, with no code of its own, no permissions and no internet access. It only shows what your watch and your chosen complications provide.
Lunation Forge is an independent watch face by Northglance. Moon imagery: NASA Scientific Visualization Studio (svs.gsfc.nasa.gov/5587), rendered from Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter data; NASA does not endorse this watch face. Fonts: Saira and Barlow, SIL Open Font License.
